All returns require a return authorization number from Threads of Life before any goods will be accepted for return. Authorization may be obtained by contacting us by email at firstname.lastname@example.org. Once return authorization is received customers are responsible for payment of shipping back to Threads of Life plus any customs duty and sales tax incurred upon re-entry into Indonesia. We will not accept Cash on Delivery shipments. Cash on Delivery shipments will be refused.
Refunds for Returns
To qualify for a full refund, any returned goods must be in the condition in which they were originally shipped by Threads of Life to the buyer. Any damage to the goods will result in a reduction in the refund, and the amount of the deduction will be entirely at the discretion of Threads of Life. Any refunds for returns will be processed through PayPal, either to the buyer’s credit card or their PayPal account.
Customs Duty and VAT on Returns
Indonesian Customs has no provision for re-import of returned goods. All returns will incur Indonesian Customs Duty and Sales Tax upon arrival. When shipping goods back to Threads of Life, the buyer will assume responsibility for paying these duty and tax costs through their shipper or courier. Any Customs Duty and Sales Tax incurred by Threads of Life on returns will be deducted from any reimbursement.
Shipping of Returns
We recommend shipping any returns via a service that offers tracking and insurance, such as DHL or FedEx, or via Express Mail at the Post Office. When using a courier, the buyer will assume all costs for Customs Duty and Sales Tax upon re-entry into Indonesia.
Threads of Life will substitute or replace defective goods at our discretion. Any damage to the returned goods incurred during return shipping will be the responsibility of the buyer. For exchange of defective goods, Threads of Life will pay all costs for the return of the goods to Threads of Life only if sent by DHL using Threads of Life’s account, and Threads of Life will pay all costs for sending the replacement goods to the customer.
Cancelling or Modifying an Order
Once you have placed an order, it may be cancelled or modified only if the order has not yet been shipped. If your order has not yet been shipped and you need to cancel or modify it, please contact us at email@example.com and we will determine if it will be possible to halt the fulfillment of the order. Please note that no order may be canceled or modified once it has been shipped. In those cases, you may follow the aforementioned return instructions if you decide not to keep the product after having received it.
