This pillow is from a woman’s sarong made by the weavers of Helong which is the original ethnic group in the area of Kupang on Timor Island. The solid colour backing is dyed to deep indigo and woven by the weavers of Hama Perangu in east Sumba.
There is only one of these unique pillows – It would be exquisite on your favorite chair– we can send the pillow without the Dacron stuffing and all you need is to get new Dacron and refill it. This makes shipping much less expensive.
Tied, dyed and woven by Nelci Ale in Helong, Timor, 2017.
