The warp ikat panels were made by the incredible Karatuan weavers of Sulawesi. The motif is Dappu which represents a deep depression in the ground which represents that when you decide to do something that you do not waver but stay focused . The solid indigo backing was made from commercial cotton and woven on a backstrap loom in Sumba and dyed with indigo.
There are 2 pillows in this series that are identical– we can send the pillow without the Dacron stuffing and all you need is to get new Dacron and refill it. This makes shipping much less expensive.
