Cushion CoverTraditional Textiles
This cushion is made up of the traditional handspun cotton cloth woven on Timor using natural dyes and traditional ikat motifs. The solid rust color backing is made from handspun cotton and woven on a backstrap loom in Java and dyed with bark from the mangrove species Ceriops tagal that has been sustainably harvested and dyed in the Threads of Life Dye Studio. The strong white stripe in the pattern is brightened by being washed with a tuber from the orchid family. These handmade natural dyed cushions would be exquisite on a couch, chair or bed.
Woven in Timor, 2019.
