This cushion cover is made by the weavers of Miomafo on Timor island.The solid coloured back panel of this cushion is made from handspun heirloom cotton and woven by the community of weavers in Tuban Java. It was then dyed with natural indigo using natural processes at the Threads of Life Dye Studio on Bali.
The motif on this cushion is called ika means fish. For the people of Timor certain animals, plants, rocks and springs are all considered sacred. Fish, crocodiles, frogs are examples of these animals. The pair of these handmade natural dyed cushions would be exquisite on a couch, chair or bed.
