This cushion is made up of the traditional cloth woven on Timor using natural dyes and traditional ikat motifs. The motif on this textile is called kai bia suna naek referring to a large hooked motif like that of buffalo horn. The hooked pattern is a reference to the interconnectedness between ancestor, kin, and the land.
These handmade natural dyed cushions would be exquisite on a couch, chair or bed.
