Sulawesi Ikat and HandspunSekomandi Cushion Cover
This cushion is made up of the traditional cloth woven on Sulawesi using natural dyes and traditional ikat motifs. The solid coloured back panel of this cushion is made from handspun heirloom cotton and woven by the community of weavers in Tuban Java. It was then dyed with natural indigo using natural processes at the Threads of Life Dye Studio on Bali. The motif is one of the oldest motifs known by the ethnic group of Toraja Karataun weavers. These handmade natural dyed cushions would be exquisite on a couch, chair or bed.
