This cushion is made up of the traditional cloth woven in Pau on the island of Sumba using natural dyes with traditional ikat motifs and supplementary patterning technique. The solid colour back panel of this pillow is made from handspun heirloom cotton and woven by the community of weavers in Tuban Java. These supplementary motifs are part of a woman’s trousseau at her marriage from her mothers’ treasured patterns. These handmade natural dyed cushions would be exquisite on a couch, chair or bed.
