This cushion is made up of the traditional cloth woven in Kalimantan island with traditional pattern. Kalimantan textiles are highly sought after over the centuries by collectors.
The motif on this cushion jelu is named for an insect found in the forests that is used for specific ceremonies. Like many motifs among the Dayak people this demonstrates the importance of the forest for all aspects of their life.
These handmade natural dyed cushions would be exquisite on a couch, chair or bed.
