This cushion is made from handspun heirloom cotton and woven on backstrap loom in Java using natural dyes and hand drawn batik. The motif is the one of a centipede that is not dangerous but will roll into a ball when it is threatened. It speaks about how to protect oneself by retreating until the danger has passed. The solid coloured back panel of this cushion is made from handspun heirloom brown cotton and woven by the community of weavers in Tuban Java. These handmade natural dyed cushions would be exquisite on a couch, chair or bed.
