Cushion CoverTraditional Textiles
The Batik panel was batiked in Tuban on the island of Java. The motif is called ganggang or water plant that grows very quickly – it represents the ability to regenerate – essential to life. The solid indigo backing was made from commercial cotton and woven on a backstrap loom in Sumba and dyed with indigo. These handmade natural dyed cushions would be exquisite on a couch, chair or bed.
