Beit AnaShoulder Cloth
Beit Ana is a narrow single panel textile used as a shoulder cloth by women for ceremonies and special occasions. The textiles of Miomafo area in West Timor are known for their indigo work with intricate ikat.
The motif on this textile called makaif refers a small finely made hook pattern and refers to interconnectedness between clans and family groups.
