The Yayasan Pecinta Budaya Bebali (YPBB), or the Foundation for Sustainable Culture and Livelihood, works closely with Threads of Life to help rural communities take advantage of the market access we offer. YPBB programs help our partner communities develop their independent businesses for growth, environmental sustainability, and cultural integrity. Learn more at www.ypbb.org

YPBB Foundation

Everyone we work with shares two dreams in common: a prosperous future for their families and their communities, and the preservation of the cultural heritage expressed in their artwork.

Threads of Life’s sister organization, the non-profit YPBB Foundation, helps hundreds of weavers who live in remote, under-developed villages turn textiles, crafts, and other expressions of their local cultures into badly needed income.

YPBB collaborates with local communities to develop livelihoods that are environmentally sustainable, promote cultural integrity, and empower women. Visit www.ypbb.org to learn more.

YPBB works in three general areas:

• incubating community businesses

• managing forests and natural resources sustainably

• nurturing traditional culture
